May is here and the end of the school year is just around the corner! May is always a busy and hectic month so instead of weekly posts, I will just post the important big events for the rest of the year on so you can add them to your calendar.
May 5th: Creative Dramatics- Starts at 9:00 AM and Performances start at 3:00 PM at the Lowery Freshmen Center.
May 8th: Theatre Guild Meeting- Voting for next year ‘s Council Officers and important information for Thespians at 4:oo PM in Ms.Howell’s room.
May 22nd: Thespian meeting (including inducted Thespians that will be inducted on the 25th) about end of the year stuff, the awards ceremony and planning for next year’s convention.
May 25th: Theatre Awards Ceremony at 6:30 PM at Lowery Freshmen Center Auditorium

- Senior Moments must be filmed the week of April 16th from 3:30-4:30 in Mrs. Unkenholz’s room. Must prepare blurb of which senior thespians (See list on facebook or website) you plan on speaking for and short idea of what you will say.
- Thespian Points written out due April 18th!

For those of you who attend the April 10 meeting, you will receive a handout to write everything on. If you cannot make it to the meeting, please still write out everything on a separate sheet. The Allen High School Theatre Department will be competing tomorrow for the UIL ONE ACT Play competition at Flower Mound High School! This year the Theatre Deparment will be performing “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller. Allen performs at 1Pm in the Flower Mound High School Auditorium and family and friends are welcome to attend the show (admission is free)! Wish them luck as they go to compete against 3 other schools at UIL!

Our first meeting will be Monday, (Feb. 6) from 4:00-6:00. If you are not at this meeting, the directors will assume that you do not accept your position in the production.
Senior Directed performances start tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the Black box and continue through Saturday the 28th. Tickets are 5 dollars and that guarantees admission for all shows for that night, so be sure you don’t miss out on some great Theatre!
Also, auditions for our Spring UIL One Act Play will be on February 1st and 2nd at 4:00 PM in the PAC. Those interested in auditioning must sign up for an allotted time outside of Ms. Howell’s room. Please prepare a brief, memorized monologue for the audition. Drama pieces are recommended. Break a Leg!
Thanks to all who helped out with the Gala this past weekend and for your hard work and flexibility with the schedule. We are so proud of Troupe 3105 and their dedication to the department!
Coming up on January 26-28, we have Senior Directed play performances starting at 6:00. Tickets will be $5 and there will be 3 shows a night. (The 5 dollars counts for ALL performances) So, come out and witness some great Theatre directed by Allen High School’s own Senior Thespians!
Hello everyone! As you may know the Allen Theatre students had the privilege to go to this year’s Thespian Convention in Houston, Texas. We had a blast! Our very own Maddie Sosnowski advanced to the National Convention in Indiana for her Solo Monologue Acting Individual Event, she performed this past week! Also, Dominic Pecikonis and Bailey Barrett advanced to the National Conference as well for their Duet Acting! Congrats to them!
On Saturday December 10th, we will be having our Winter Creative Dramatics at Lowery Freshmen Center from 9Am-3PM. Those who are working Creative Dramatics need to be at the Freshman Center by 8AM. See you there!
Hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving Break! Texas Thespian Convention is coming up next week and we are going to have a meeting on Tuesday at 3:45 In Ms. Howell’s room to discuss the final trip itinerary and room assignments for the trip see you there!
